- Stalk into opponent low to high and get dominant head position
- Establish a control ties to work offensive attacks
- After a break in handfighting, check position by touching mat (hand-mat relationship)
- Forward, Forward, Back Principle
- Push, Pull, Hit, Post, Pick, Pass, Snap & Fake
- Wear out opponent by continuously transferring hands
